It may only be early November but Christmas planning is well underway for many businesses. The first of our Christmas print runs start in early October but over the next 30 days we will surge a huge surge in Christmas related printing. A few of you will wait until deep into December but most of you seem to be listening and getting yourselves organised earlier and earlier each year.
There are so many things I could talk about in relation to Christmas printing for business. But the one thing I keep coming back to that is relevant for all my clients is the simplest thing of all. Christmas cards.
Have you ever wondered why so many businesses still do their annual corporate Christmas card print run year in and year out? Like us, they realise the enormous impact it can have on their clients and subsequently their bottom line. So let’s take a look at why a real Christmas card can be so valuable to your business.
Showing Your Clients You Appreciate Them
I can’t overemphasise how critical showing your clients some level of appreciation is. Loyalty is a rare commodity these days. But one of the critical factors in keeping them loyal is to make sure they feel appreciated. Otherwise there is a much higher chance of them going elsewhere.
A Great Opportunity To Say Thank-you
Christmas is your chance to reflect on the year that has been and say thank you to clients, potential clients, customers, vendors and everyone else who has contributed to your year in business. A simple way to do this at this time of year is to send them a personalised Christmas card.
Stay top of mind
Your clients may not need what you offer day in day out. Staying top of mind is crucial so you are the first and only company your client or prospect thinks of when they are ready to buy. Christmas cards are a non intrusive and non salesy way to do that.
Is Doing a Real Card All That Important?
How many Christmas cards get sent these days? Not that many – most people’s newsfeeds on Facebook are spammed with Merry Christmas messages that simply get lost in the clutter. If you’re a business page you’ll have to pay to reach a meaningful number of clients that will still get lost in the clutter. Real Christmas cards are on the decline so you have a chance to really stand out and differentiate yourself.
My mother's generation still send Christmas cards religiously whilst my generation generally do not. This makes me wonder how many of my older generation clients truly appreciate receiving a real Christmas card and what a surprise (or almost a novelty) it is for my younger clients.
If you need a simple inexpensive way to spread some Christmas cheer to your customers that won’t fill your days and nights with extra work then our ‘done for you’ Christmas Cards is just what you need.
There really isn’t that much time before Christmas. So best to get your Christmas cards arranged before December 1. Call 1300 85 77 85 or email blair@carissprinting.com.au and we can arrange the design, printing and fulfillment of your Christmas card mailing.
P.S. we will be practicing what we preach and sending out Christmas cards again this year too... like we do every year to say thanks for supporting our family business.
